Noninvasive Respiration Rate Monitoring for Adult and Pediatric Patients
Available alongside clinically proven Masimo SET® pulse oximetry, RRp allows clinicians to implement respiration rate monitoring without additional equipment.
What Is RRp?
RRp is a measure of respiration rate based on changes in the plethysmographic waveform.
Using proprietary advanced signal processing, RRp analyzes baseline, amplitude, and frequency changes in the plethysmographic waveform throughout the respiratory cycle to calculate respiration rate.
Where Can RRp Be Used?
RRp is ideal for low-acuity settings, such as the general care floor. By automating measurements and providing trended data over time, RRp offers deeper insights into a patient’s respiratory status compared to manual counting. This enables clinicians to more effectively monitor potential changes in a patient’s condition.
